Once upon a time…isn’t that how all great stories start?, I looked in a mirror and no longer recognized the person I was.  I was at the highest weight I’d ever seen on the scale and felt like it.  I wanted to make a change. I wanted to get the most I could out of life.  I also knew I had to be healthy to give my kids the most out of their childhoods.

As a working mom, I had little time to think about feeding my family.  We were eating what was  considered by most people to be healthy, low fat, “diet” foods, but still our waistlines were growing. I started to research a ketogenic approach after seeing others have success, became VERY overwhelmed, and I walked away. It took a year for me to come back around and really dig in.

My goal is to make sure no one who is interested in taking a ketogenic approach feels overwhelmed and walks away from this blog. Easy grab and go ideas, recipes that can be made on a work night, and meal prep ideas to keep keto a sustainable way of eating for families are just some of what you will find here.

I’m not a nutritionist, a doctor, or an expert on keto by any means. I’m a mom of two little girls, ages 5 and 3, who works full time, and wants to share the keto approach in a way that others can make work for their lives.
